The Enrollment for the Digit Class of 2024 Is Now Open!

Are you a PhD candidate or postdoctoral fellow registered at a Norwegian university?

Are you interested in gaining valuable skills and knowledge on topics related to digitalisation, culture, and society?

DIGIT is now accepting applications for the DIGIT class of 2024!

Our membership program offers a range of opportunities over a two-year period, including joint seminars, academic courses, writing workshops, networking events, and secondment opportunities designed to help members develop both personally and professionally, and to enhance their research and career prospects.

As a member, you will gain access to a supportive and diverse network of fellow researchers, as well as opportunities for exchange and access to a range of scientific and generic courses.

For new members, participation in our kick-off course, Digitalisation, Culture and Society (November/December), is mandatory. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the themes and topics that will be explored throughout the program and helps to ensure that all members have a solid foundation for their participation.

While most of our members come from the social sciences and humanities, we welcome applications from PhD and postdoctoral fellows from other backgrounds. We also invite a few "young researchers" (defined as individuals who have completed their PhD within the last seven years) to join the school.

The DIGIT research school is supported by the Norwegian Research Council. It is a Research School for Quality and Relevance, meaning that the school aims to increase the doctoral degree programs' relevance to the labor market and to improve collaboration between academia and other social actors through the researcher training. In addition to our partnership with seven Norwegian academic institutions (OsloMet, UiB, Nord, USN, NTNU, and UiA), we also partner with several actors from the public and private sectors (LO, Spekter, NAV, DigDir, KS, and No Isolation).
