I'm Xiaomu Li, a PhD candidate at NTNU Business School, originally from China. I hold a bachelor's degree in Finance from South China University of Technology and a master's degree in Consumer Analytics and Marketing Strategy from the University of Leeds.

My research focuses on how generative AI transforms knowledge management, organizational learning, and team collaboration. I am particularly interested in how AI reshapes knowledge processes, changes interactions between employees and AI, and influences value creation within organizations. My research combines qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, literature reviews, and survey studies, to develop both theoretical and practical insights. Through this work, I aim to contribute to a better understanding of how organizations can effectively integrate generative AI into knowledge work.

Tell us about your project!

This project examines how Generative AI transforms knowledge management processes in organizations. While Generative AI is widely adopted, its impact on knowledge management practices and the mechanisms through which knowledge creates value is not yet well understood. The project aims to develop a systematic understanding of these changes and their implications for organizations.
The project consists of three interconnected studies. The first is a systematic literature review that synthesizes current knowledge and identifies key research gaps. The second is a qualitative interview study exploring how employees integrate Generative AI into knowledge work and how it reshapes knowledge management processes and value creation. The third is a quantitative study that tests the relationships identified in the qualitative study using survey data. Together, these studies will make both theoretical and empirical contributions to knowledge management research. The project is expected to produce three journal articles.
