The class of 2023-25 has completed their DIGIT programme

Our second class has now completed the DIGIT program and will join our growing group of alumni!

May 8-9, we gathered for a final seminar at Holmen Fjordhotell, just outside Oslo. Over the two days, we explored different career paths both within and beyond academia — and looked at possible roads ahead.

We learned more about the one job that can be hard to land, but that may open doors to careers in both the public and private sectors for those with a PhD. We also discussed how moving beyond academia often calls for us to lean on our transferable skills just as much — if not more — than our theoretical knowledge.

For a career in academia, we reflected on how the path from PhD to a permanent professorship can look very different from one person to the next - be it traditional, individual, or creative.
